Travis Hayes (Single Release) Travis Hayes isn't the type to wear emotions on his sleeve. He saves that for his songs- brutally honest most of the time, and endearingly heartfelt all the time. Hayes continues the timeless tradition of soul-bearing songwriting to interpret our shared human experience into music. Love, heartbreak, fading friendships, fraught relationships - they're all expressed achingly through his impassioned voice and melodic guitar lines. Hayes echoes the earnestness of Springsteen, the pop sensibility of Petty, and the raw emotion of Ryan Adams. Simply put by Music Junkie Press, "If you are from the Bay Area and haven't been to a Travis Hayes show, then you are missing out." Miles Nielsen & The Rusted Hearts Rockford, IL-based Miles Nielsen has spent nearly a decade enthralling audiences with music that draws force from the prime years of Western-influenced rock music and classic '60s soul. Claiming influences as diverse as Otis Redding's classic soul and Jellyfish's cult power pop recordings, Nielsen has thus far released two albums - his debut in 2009 as a solo artist, and then his sophomore album in 2012 as Miles Nielsen and the Rusted Hearts - to critical acclaim and an ever-growing fanbase. The Rusted Hearts' hot streak will continue this year with their upcoming third LP, Heavy Metal. The American West + MAITA music The American West is a Portland based post-americana duo featuring Matthew Zeltzer and Maria Maita-Keppeler, whose debut album No Depression calls, " Words to the wise- A Warning." They will also being performing songs by Maria Maita-Keppeler (MAITA), of whose debut EP, American Standard Time calls, "focused, feminist American realist psalm. 8pm || 18+ || $15/$20
