The Singing Limbs Gaining popularity in San Francisco's competitive live music scene, and now poised to continue to expand their fan base nationwide, the indie rock quartet The Singing Limbs combines various genres and influences into a confluence of unique sounds resulting in a quintessentially colorful and energetic verve that rifles through their songs and live sets. The Singing Limbs was founded in 2015 as by guitarist and vocalist Cameron Gibbons and drummer Mike DeLuccia. Soon after, the duo expanded into a quartet by recruiting bassist Dominic Colombini and keyboardist Josh Greenberger, thereby finalizing the formation of the psychedelic rock and soul band. During the past two years, the band has worked the San Francisco live venue circuit hard, and successfully, with shows at historic landmarks like The Great American Music Hall, Slims, Rickshaw Stop, Brick and Mortar, and the Boom Boom Room. Studio recordings offer nuanced pocket grooves, while live shows burst with energy and ambitious improvisation. On March 31st, 2017, TSL's will drop the debut, five-track EP, Mint, which DeLuccia contends is "inspired by influences from psych to surf, soul to rock." Regarding the band's first official single, "Stay," songwriter Gibbons says: "'Stay' is about the way people stick around in situations they'd rather not be part of, hoping things will change on their own. It's got a great driving pulse through a four-on-the floor soul vibe. This was one of the first songs Mike and I wrote together." Mint was recorded and mixed at Tiny Telephone Studios in San Francisco CA over a four-day period in June of 2016. All of the tracks were recorded on 24-track analog tape with assistance from sound engineer Beau Sorenson and mastering from Tim Walsh. The band members list among their biggest musical influences Dr. Dog, White Denim, My Morning Jacket, Shuggie Otis, Radiohead, Steely Dan and Stevie Wonder. limbs Loco Tranquilo Loco Tranquilo is a pyschedelic seajazz collective from San Francisco that fuses hypnotic and colorful melodies with african funky grooves and jazzy primordial rhythms. Killer Whale The music I make is just a reflection of what I've soaked in throughout my years of moving back and forth from Louisiana to California and other spots along the south. It's a reflection of my love hate relationship with where I'm from and where I might go. It's a reflection of being raised by a mother who played piano in Mississippi Baptist Churches and a father who's main connection with me was a deep love for the blues. It's the conflict of running away from your roots but finding a deeper love for them far away from home, and in the end learning so much more than I had ever dreamed of. It's about laughing about all the dumbass shit that's thrown your way all the damn time. Mendonesia Beginning as a home recording project and a sprawling fifteen song release over the summer of sixteen, Mendonesia has stylized itself into a preeminent live explosion of psych sounds, country licks with pop sensibility. Featuring the songs and inklings of Tom Conneely, Mendonesia's first album "Mendonesia" was released December 1, 2016.The band now features Kyle Clouse, Adam Spry and Evan Lanam, who all contribute their unique songs, voice and abilities as well.
