The Summer of Love is a documentary exploring the beginnings of "hippie invasion" which occurred in the Haight Ashbury district during the summer of 1967. At this time, thousands of young people descended in the City to celebrate peace and love. Eventually, the Utopian experience descended into chaos toward the end. Nonetheless, the memory of the Summer of Love remains an ephemeral reminder of the hope for a different vision of the world.
