Spend a Romantic Evening with Vintner’s Chamber Orchestra
Vintner’s Chamber Orchestra kicks-off Valentine’s Day weekend with its much-anticipated debut concert. Making its debut during the season of love, VCO will be making a splash into the Bay Area’s classical music scene with an evening of romantic music in Sonoma Wine Country, one of America’s most romantic hot spots. Directed by conductor and co-founder, Alexander Kahn, the 16-string orchestra consisting of the Bay Area’s top young professional musicians will be in concert performing some of the most romantic music ever written by famous composers from the French and Russian Romanticism Eras and the American Contemporary Period. Featured music will include pieces from Corigliano, Dvorak, Sibelius and Tchaikovsky.
Co-founded by Alexander Kahn, Matthew Vincent, Kathryn Stewart and Dr. Kristie Janczyk, VCO is committed to bringing high-quality and innovative performances of the chamber orchestra to audiences throughout Wine Country and beyond. VCO had been created to present Sonoma and Napa counties with a dynamic and versatile ensemble that can perform concerts in both traditional and non-traditional venues. Ultimately, VCO will harmonize musical performances with culture events such as literary readings, art gallery openings, dance/theater productions, wine tastings as well as wellness + meditation experiences. VCO goal is to offer concerts that will be interactive and will break long-standing taboos that prevent many newcomers from delving into the incredible world of classical orchestral music.
The public can purchase tickets online with select seating at the Sonoma State University Performing Arts Box Office or at the door on the evening of the performance.
