Shoring, Billie Gayle, True Violet
Monday, March 26th, 2018 Brick & Mortar San Francisco, CA $7 ADV / $10 DOS / Age All Ages Shoring The sound of Portland's band Shoring is like an authentic boulevardier with a generous pour of aged Americana. All of Shoring's arrows are pointed at classy, pure, and original independent music. From Kostenborder's emotive playing on his vintage Ludwig kit to Bergstrom's brassy and immediately relatable vocals, listeners find a place to settle and free themselves of the immediacy of a hectic life. From early on, the band formed around a common gravity toward artists like Dylan, Springsteen, and The Doors. Along with Knopfler-esque lead guitar, vintage keys, and delay drenched guitars, Shoring soaks the listener in warm sunlight and analog artistry. As the industry continues to be saturated with fame-seekers and cookie cutter hit-makers, Shoring's focus is to simply stand alongside anyone willing to lean in and listen. Billie Gayle Hailing from the emerald Northwest, Billie Gayle intertwines roots of singer-songwriter folk, leading lady vocals, and an undeniable rhythmic quality, while integrating a lyric heavy style that paints pictures with a backbeat. True Violet True Violet - indie/folk/blues all-girl band born in 2012. True Violet moved across the country from Florida, to take the next step in their music career. Broke, and a little scared, they armed themselves with their instruments and made Los Angeles their new home. True Violet consists of the rhythm sisters Kayla & Alayna Miller with "soul" sister Jessie Covets, lead singer. After releasing their self-titled debut album in 2015, the girls set out to book their independent South West headline tour. Fueled by passion and tenacity, they hold true to their music and dedicated fans. Keep your eyes and ears open for their self produced EP coming Spring 2018!
