In this Science Speakeasy we delve into the origins of gender and the new methods used to understand it today. Leakey Foundation grantee Stephanie Meredith will discuss her research observing sex-typed behavior in non-human primates and how this data can be used to help understand the history of human gender. Dr. Madeline Deutsch of UCSF will share the insights she has gathered on human gender diversity through providing care for members of the LGBTQ community for over a decade.
