Ruby's Place 45th Anniversary Celebration

Ruby’s Place, an emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking is celebrating its 45th Anniversary this year. To mark the celebration during National Domestic Violence Awareness month, Congressman Eric Swalwell and Alameda County District Attorney Nancy O’Malley are hosting an event on October 19, 2017 from 7 to 9 pm. Ruby’s Place is California’s first incorporated domestic violence shelter founded by a group of concerned citizens in 1972 and one of the few shelter for survivors of human trafficking serving in the Bay Area. Future plans to expand services will be announced at the event. More information at
