Ramen Noodle Workshop with Chef Mari Takahashi Sunday, July 16, 2017 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. $105 for JCCCNC Members, $120 for General Public, $100/person for parties of 2 or more Register Online: http://bit.ly/jcccncramen Come to the Japanese Cultural and Community Center in San Francisco Japantown and learn directly from expert ramen maker chef Mari Takahashi how to make your own gourmet ramen! Workshop includes a tasting of 4 different styles of ramen, miso, shio, tonkotsu and tantan-men, after which participants prepare a sumptuous ramen meal in the style of their choosing. The 3 hour workshop will also cover proper noodle and soup stock preparation as well as toppings. Originally from Yokohama, Japan, Mari worked in bio tech and high tech companies before starting her catering business in 2004. She went on to open San Francisco’s first izakaya, the award-winning Sozai Restaurant and Sake Lounge, as well as Nombe in San Francisco’s Mission District.
