Peter Yarrow w/ Bethany & Rufus in Berkeley
Peter Yarrow has spent a lifetime making music and practicing social activism. Peter is known best for his years in the hit making trio Peter, Paul, & Mary. During their career, the trio scored 12 top 40 hits including "Leaving on a Jet Plane", "Blowin' in the Wind" and Peter's composition "Puff (the Magic Dragon)". After the band split in 1970, Peter went on to score another number one single with "Torn Between Two Lovers", a song he wrote for Mary MacGregor. Yarrow was an early protestor of the war in Vietnam and was a part of the March on Washington (for civil rights) with Martin Luther King. In later years, Peter helped found "Operation Respect", an anti-bullying non-profit organization.
