"What, exactly, are they putting in the water at the Marlboro Music Festival?" wondered a Washington Post reviewer after a Musicians from Marlboro tour. "Not only is the virtuosity of Musicians from Marlboro consistently jaw-dropping, but the freshness, rich imagination and sheer vitality of their playing is enough to make even the most jaded concertgoer edge to the front of his seat." This season's national tour from "the classical world's most coveted retreat" (New Yorker) is built around the Clarinet Quartet of Penderecki, Marlboro's composer-in-residence in 2013, and includes Marcy Rosen, whom the New Yorker lauded as "a New York legend of the cello" and Anthony McGill, the principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic. Artists: Anthony McGill, clarinet o Emilie-Anne Gendron, violin o David McCarroll, violin o Daniel Kim, viola o Marcy Rosen, cello Program: Beethoven: String Trio in C Minor, Op. 9, No. 3 Penderecki: Quartet Brahms: Clarinet Quintet in B Minor, Op. 115
