Quinn grew up playing rock, funk, soul, and gospel music. He studied music at UC Berkeley and recording engineering at Future Rhythm where he met producer Brian White in 2006. They first collaborated in 2008 as engineer/producers on Tiffani Marie’s gospel record, “Exposed.” Mighty Quinn’s solo break as an artist followed in 2009 with his debut single, “My Road,” which was produced by White and featured on the ABC TV show “Scrubs.” In 2010 came the ‘My Road’ EP which was followed up by the darker sounds of the ‘Young Ninjas’ EP and ‘Fear’ music video in 2013 which featured members of the UCB Wushu team. 2014-15 saw Quinn working with Dan Petersen, Steve Pedersen and Christian Lewis of indie band “Evaline” for the LP ‘Open & Shut’. 2015-present Mighty Quinn has been back to work with longtime friend and guitar wizard Steve Wyreman (Common, Logic, Vince Staples, Rihanna, Richard Ashcroft) who played on 2017’s ‘Kilt Kimono’ LP and inspired Quinn to hire young punk rockers Geoff Saba, Joel Davidson, and Drew Muhoberc to become Mighty Quinn & The Oakland Ronin- a live punk rock band now touring at a venue near you.
