James Beard Foundation’s Taste America Tour
Celebrating its fifth year, the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America Tour is a national culinary program that takes place in ten cities, including San Francisco, over six weekends each fall. Taste America All-Star and James Beard Award Winner Hugh Acheson of 5&10 will collaborate with Local Star and James Beard Award Winner Stuart Brioza and Local Star Pastry Chef and James Beard Award Winner Nicole Krasinksi, both of State Bird Provisions and The Progress to create a one-of-a-kind four-course dining experience. This unique partnering of culinary greats will also feature a tasting reception, where chefs David Barzelay of Lazy Bear, Val Cantu of Californios, Host Chef Oscar Gonzalez of Fairmont San Francisco, Mourad Lahlou of Mourad, Melissa Perello of Frances and Octavia, and Evan and Sarah Rich of Rich Table will dazzle guests with their unique culinary styles. The weekend festivities will also include in-store chef appearances, cooking demonstrations, book signings, tastings and more at Sur La Table Union Street.
