The Motet You can't fake the funk, and The Motet bring it on hard with a signature style that slaps you in the face with sounds that are fresh and unique. The future of funk is clear on The Motet's brand new studio album, Totem. The recent addition of singer Lyle Divinsky, who joined the band in early 2016, fans the flames of this already hot band. The Motet are Dave Watts (drums), Joey Porter (keyboards), Garrett Sayers (bass), Ryan Jalbert (guitar), Gabriel Mervine (trumpet), Lyle Divinsky (vocals), Drew Sayers (saxophone). Dragon Smoke Dragon Smoke is a band that formed as part of the New Orleans Jazz Fest tradition known as the "Superjam". The "Superjam" idea is to put together a band of people who don't normally play together and see what happens. With the dual vocals of Ivan Neville and Eric Lindell, matched with the Galactic rhythm section, the band quickly realized, " We are onto something" and has played every Jazz Fest since it's inception in 2003. The music centers around Lindell's blue eyed soul , Neville's funk and R&B, and Galactic's groove. Afrolicious Afrolicious has established itself as both one of the most legendary weekly parties in San Francisco, and of the top live/electronic bands on the scene. Started as a weekly dance party featuring DJ's and brothers Pleasuremaker and Senor Oz alongside percussionists, MC's and horn players, and an amazing crowd from day one. Over the years it has evolved as founding DJ/Producer Pleasuremaker (Joe McGuire) alongside brother Senor Oz (Oz McGuire) hooked up with some of the most exciting personalities in the Bay Area music scene and started writing original music under the alias Afrolicious. Frobeck Since 2005, Frobeck has been astonishing audiences throughout Northern California with their unique blend of Pop, Funk, and Rock music. With high-octane vocals, life-altering songs, and world-class musicianship it was only a matter of time before they launched to the forefront of the Northern California music scene. In 2008 they won a North Bay Music Award (NORBAY) for Best Rock Group and also won first place at the Mystic Theater Battle of the Bands in Petaluma. The Pulsators The Pulsators formed in 1989 and released four albums over the following years. Their first CD prompted a Northern California music magazine to call them "one killer band with irresistible hooks." The Press Democrat's "On Q" responded to the second album with "this firecracker band proves it's only getting better with time," adding that The Pulsators reproduce "the hyper essence of their live shows, along with a tight professional musicianship". The Petaluma Argus-Courier wrote that the album "captures the easy groove and good-time feeling that the band projects." Saffell Saffell is a singer songwriter pulling from R&B, funk and blues. Saffell has a unique percussive style on the piano and his vocals are as memorable as they are captivating. Not the usual sound from a singer-songwriter on the piano. Saffell brings a syncopated groove, a rhythmic lyrical flow and a funky attack on the keys. Ales for Autism Ales for Autism is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit and grassroots fundraising organization based in Sonoma County, California. We work within the unbelievably generous and exciting world of craft beer to provide people with a chance to give back to a great cause! Autism affects one in every 68 American children, with boys being four and half times more susceptible to the disorder. It is the fastest growing disorder, yet the most underfunded. Early diagnosis is key for a child's development and even possibly overcoming the disorder entirely. Certain development issues would be skills that come to most people naturally such as verbal and non-verbal communication, social interactions, and cognitive functions. Supporting Ales for Autism, the events we create, and companies we work side by side with, helps us provide every child with a greater opportunity for better adaptation, education and quality of life.
