Frank Stickems is a pure bred lyricist. Born in San Francisco, California as the son of the legendary "Fillmore Slim", from birth Frank was immediately introduced to the street life. His family moved to New York when he was a youngster, landing in Brooklyn and later moving to Harlem, Frank became immersed in the birthplace of Hip Hop. Hearing the likes of Kool G Rap, LL Cool J, RUN DMC, Whodini, Grandmaster Flash, Boogie Down Productions and Kool Moe Doe while attending school and on his block. Frank felt his reality being played on every cassette tape he could get his hands on. During his teen years, Frank bounced back and forth from New York to The Bay Area while mastering his verbal skills. In the late nineties Frank became a permanent transplant in the Bay Area and began to dominate the underground Hip Hop scene. Frank Stickems has contributed to Northern California's "Hyphy Movement" over the past 5 years by appearing on tracks with the Bay Area's Keak Da Sneak, Mistah FAB (Atlantic Records), and Clyde Carson (Capitol Records), while receiving numerous airplays throughout the country. Frank Stickemz has kept busy appearing on compilations "Fire, Volume 1" - '02 (Stickemz You Got 'Em & Rap Star) , "Dopegame 2" - '05 (In Tha Dopegame), "Dopegame 3" - '05 (Let's Go In & Shake Ya Face Up), "Dopegame 4" - '06 (What 'Cha Gonna Do Now), "The Hyphy House" - '06 (Shake Ya Face Up), "Killa Thugs 1" - '06 (Talk 'Bout Me & Talkin 'Bout) , and "Frank Stickems f/Christion" - '07 (Strategy - Remix). Frank Stickemz has recently laid down tracks with label mates Christion and new material featuring Allen Anthony and Killa Klump. Continuously staying on the grind, Stickems has kept busy touring in the West and down South with fellow Bay Area rappers. Though a contributor to the "Hyphy Movement", Frank Stickems possesses incredible writing skills and a hypnotic flow that is reminiscent of greats like Jay-Z, Nas, NWA, Kool G Rap and Scarface.
