Four Bitchin' Babes: A Mood Swinging Musical Revue

April 21, 2017
8:00 pm
Firehouse Arts Center

The Four Bitchin' Babes are four accomplished and seasoned musician-actress comediennes, who together are a tour-de-force musical comedy theatre troupe. Touring and recording for 25 years, The Babes' current musical revue is lovingly titled "Hormonal Imbalance 2.5: A Mood Swinging Musical Revue." The show swoops into the Firehouse Arts Center Theatre in Pleasanton on Friday, April 21, at 8:00 p.m. Full of sketches, musical numbers, story-telling and stand-up, and playing their own guitars, bass, piano, and Irish Bodhran, this gal-pal gang is known for both their unbridled comedic commentary and poignant asides on the joys and dilemmas of everyday life. The humor is never "blue," and there is reportedly enough bling involved to hypnotize the first five rows. With 10 albums and counting, The Babes have had recordings produced by Jeff Bova (also producer for Celine Dion, Billy Joel, and Madonna). Original song titles like Bald Headed Men, Take Me Out to Eat, L.A.F.F. (Ladies Against Fanny Floss), and I Remember Butter will grace the Firehouse show set list, among many others. THE BABES: Debi Smith, Sally Fingerett, Megon McDonough, Deirdre Flint. The Four Bitchin' Babes is a group of female singer-songwriters with a friendly, rotating membership, performing mainly humorous, satirical or light-hearted songs in the cabaret or folk-pop genres. The group has been described as "slyly outre," writing songs ranging from "sentimental to lusty, spiritual to hysterical." The artists all have high-profile solo performing and writing careers as well.\r\n\r\nPresented by City of Pleasanton Firehouse Arts Center
