Fall 2017 Opening Reception for Two New Exhibitions

The Magnes Collection

The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life, cordially invites you to an opening reception for its two new exhibitions: "The Invisible Museum: History & Memory of Morocco" and "Sketching 'Fiddler': Set Designs by Mentor Huebner". Opening remarks will be given by George Breslauer, the Faculty Director, of The Magnes, followed by a talk on the history and memory of Morocco by The Magnes Curator, Francesco Spagnolo and the Chair for the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (CMES), Emily Gottreich, with Bay Area teachers participating in the Fulbright Hayes Group Projects Abroad Seminar, "Jews and Muslims" (Marrakech, Morocco, Summer 2017), a project led by the CMES, with the cooperation of the Office of Resources for International and Area Studies and Oakland Unified School District.
