RESIDENCY NIGHT **EVAN LANAM & THE LIVE OAKS** **EVAN LANAM & THE LIVE OAKS** Evan Lanam & the Live Oaks is a 60's inspired, soul driven, folk, americana, rock & roll band from the San Francisco, Bay Area. Lead vocalist/guitarist/songwriter and lately drummer, Evan Lanam, grew up singing in the St. Matthews Catholic School Choir, annually performing the National Anthem at San Francisco Giants games. He is now a regular at San Francisco venues like Brick & Mortar, Amnesia, and was recently asked to do a residency at the Boom Boom Room. A couple years ago Evan was laid off from his job, and decided to stay laid off and dedicate his life to songwriting and music and art. He has been touring extensively, playing official shows at SXSW, getting asked to play opening slots at places like Great American Music Hall, Slims, the Chapel and selling out small venues like the Lost Church. Lately, he has been finishing up some full band recordings he did with Eric Drew Feldman (Frank Black), at Hyde Street Studios, is writing new material with Gordon Brislawn (Capitol, Apple, Sony) and collaborating with other bay artists like the Rainbow Girls, Brett Hunter, Drew Southern and Daniel Erik. **RAINBOW GIRLS** Rainbow Girls is a collaborative of songwriters, multi-instrumentalists, vocalists, and California natives who've spent the last 4 years touring Europe and the US as a rock n' roll band, but who've recently returned to their folkier roots by embarking on a house concert tour across America. This new trio version of the band (Erin Chapin, Caitlin Gowdey, & Vanessa May) highlights their rich harmonies, ageless songwriting, and soulful, bluesy sound at its rawest form. The ladies came together at an underground open mic in Santa Barbara, CA in December of 2010 and spent the following summer busking and couch surfing around Europe. Since then they have released two studio albums, toured the US and Europe extensively, and simultaneously developed two different forms of performing: 1) an electric, rock n' roll, foot stomping spectacular enticing people to get naked, let loose, and dance wildly; and 2) an intimate and acoustic set based around their unique harmonies and folkier roots.
