3:00 p.m. – Lecture: Why Your Genes Aren’t Your Destiny

At one time scientists believed our DNA held the key to preventing and reversing disease. But we now know that our environment—not our genes—is the primary driver of health and longevity. In fact, recent research suggests that our genes account for less than 15% of the risk of chronic disease. In this talk, Chris Kresser will discuss the complex interplay between our genome, environment, and epigenome (how our genes express), and will explore the key diet, lifestyle, and behavioral factors that determine our “healthspan.”

4:00 p.m. – Q+A with Chris Kresser
