BUBBLE STREET GALLERY CELEBRATES ITS' 5TH ANNIVERSARY
BUBBLE STREET GALLERY, the fantastical brain child of artist DANIEL MERRIAM, celebrates its’ 5th anniversary with an exhibit titled Calling on the Muse. Cosplay and over the top exuberance are encouraged as the artist premiers paintings, sculpture and graphics, revealing creativity as not only a spectacle but a way of life. The exhibit will also include a collection of Merriam’s works created before and after the Tubbs fire, in which the artist’s wine country home and studio were destroyed.
"When the smoke cleared, I had to search for the muse amidst the ashes. She was there but was reduced to her most primitive state. Held within the roots of a burnt 400-year old redwood grove was the new beginnings of life in its’ purist form and I had the choice to reach for it or walk away. These studies are plein air therapy which I trust will help me embrace the reality of resetting my surreal self, and begin another cycle of growth.”
