Meet artists and art enthusiasts, check out the letterpress print studio and bookbindery, try your hand at pulling letterpress prints using wood type, plus other interactive book arts activities! Light refreshments and snacks will be served. (Bonus: see the "Chronicle Books :: Born in the Summer of Love" exhibition in the gallery!) We are dedicated to the art of the book! San Francisco Center for the Book offers more than 300 book arts workshops annual in our fully equipped print studio, arts and crafts room, and bindery. From introductory and project-based workshops to Core Certificate programs and master classes, San Francisco Center for the Book offers workshops that provide learning opportunities at all levels and span a wide range of book arts, including bookbinding and letterpress printing using traditional methods, as well as cutting-edge and experimental forms.
