5-Course Vineyard Lunch with Passsaggio Wines

Passaggio Wines (www.passaggiowines.com) will host a luncheon in the vineyards on Saturday, July 22 from 12 noon to 3:00 pm, at Thomson Vineyards, 1605 Los Carneros Road, in the heart of the Carneros region of Napa. The picnic will be hosted by owner and winemaker Cindy Cosco and will be limited to 24 guests. The cost is $125 per person. Reservations may be made by calling the Passaggio Wines tasting room at 707/934-8941. Cindy Cosco will host the event and Jennifer Thomson of Thomson Vineyard, where Cindy sources her Merlot, will join her. “I am looking forward to meeting everyone in the vineyard for a great luncheon paired with my newly released wines,” says Cindy Cosco. “It will be a great day to not only interact with the winemaker but the guests will have an opportunity to meet and talk with the grower as well.” The luncheon will be prepared by local Chef David Walker. David’s 5-course menu will include appetizers, Arugula and Fennel Salad with Prosciutto tossed in a light Lemon Vinaigrette, Artisan Cheese Platter, entrée of Chicken Medallions over a bed of mashed root vegetables topped with mushrooms and a wine reduction, ending with a Walnut Cake. Each course will be carefully paired with one of Passaggio Wines newly released wines. In addition to the five courses, Walker is planning a surprise or two. Walker has over 30 years experience in the food, beverage and event management industry. He creates a blend of cooking styles, with locally grown and produced ingredients, to create his unique flavors and dishes.
