4th of July Fireworks Spectacular with San Francisco Symphony

July 4, 2017
8:00 pm
Shoreline Amphitheatre At Mountain View

Live Nation, The City of Mountain View, ABC-7, Entercom SF and the San Francisco Symphony are pleased to announce the 31st Annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at Shoreline Amphitheatre on Tuesday, July 4, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love. Led by San Francisco Symphony Director of Summer Concerts Edwin Outwater, and joined by vocalist Storm Large, this year's 4th of July program will pay special tribute with a Summer of Love: A Legacy of Love theme. 2017 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love, a summer and spring gathering in 1967 of thousands of artists, creatives, and more to San Francisco. As a memorable time of music, art, culture and fashion, the Summer of Love has remained one of the most iconic movements to emerge from San Francisco and has remained ingrained in the cultural fabric of the city since it's occurrence. To celebrate, the Symphony has commissioned DJ and composer Nicole Lizee to create a new medley of summer of love reminiscent favorites such as "Piece of My Heart", "Somebody to Love", "Happy Together", "California Dreamin'" and many more, to be sung by Storm Large and the SFS, accompanied by colorful original visuals and sounds of the era. The concert will open with traditional patriotic favorites and film music of John Williams, and as always, a special firework celebration will close out the evening. PLEASE NOTE There is a $10 per car parking fee for this event. Sale Dates and Times: Public Onsale : Fri, 28 Apr 2017 at 10:00 AM
