Poetry Reading by Clive Wilmer
AN EVENING WITH POET CLIVE WILMER. Now retired from teaching at Cambridge University, Clive Wilmer will be reading from "Urban Pastorals"; This sequence of prose poems about the England of the poet's childhood reflects on ideas of paradise and the ideal society. Wilmer is also the Master of the Guild of St. George, founded by John Ruskin in 1872, and will give a brief account of the Guild's history and current work. Also on hand will be Sara Atwood to speak on the Guild's activities in North America.
