The cities of San Francisco and Zurich, Switzerland, are sister cities. In honor of the visit of the Mayor of Zurich, the hon. Corine Mauch, the city sistership committee is organizing a fundraising concert to celebrate the relationship between these two cities: “Romance in the City”. An opera singer from Zurich and a pianist from San Francisco will perform romantic songs from Mendelssohn to Randy Newman. Join us to meet the mayor of Zurich, enjoy drinks and food and help to raise funds to support the activities of this city sistership. Michelle Chang, Soprano, is a European trained singer. Before moving to San Francisco, she sang with the Zurich Opera House and co-founded the Volksopera Zurich. Despite her passion for classical music and opera, she started singing Jazz and Pop after moving to San Francisco. She enjoys expressing her art in different genres and music styles. www.michelleopera.com. Tim Eischens, piano accompanist and singer, performs throughout the Bay Area.
